On that day Ambika should be
worshiped with Naivediya. Ambikai should be worshiped as Sailaputri on the
first day of Navratri on October 3rd. Her color is pale orange or pink.
Carrying a trident in one hand and a lotus in the other, this Ambigai who
appears in a bull chariot should be worshiped with yellow objects. We can
worship by wearing yellow clothes, lemon rice, white pongal, yellow kesari.
Along with that, you can also worship by creating lentil sundal.
On the first day of Navratri, one
should worship Ambigai with yellow flowers no matter how it is done, be it kolu
or kalasam. Reading slokas including Abhirami Anthadi, Lalita Sahasranamam,
Durkashtakam, Devi Mahatmyam, Lalita Trisati, Shyamala Thandakam are very
